Staff Members & Full-Time Volunteers
Preparation: Encounter provides ongoing support as incoming Staff Members & Full-Time Volunteers raise a team of ministry partners, prepare for a life-changing international move, and equip themselves spiritually, emotionally, and physically for missionary service in Guatemala.
Service: Staff members begin with a three year commitment and come willing to serve in a variety of ways. They teach, serve in the office, develop media, mentor children and youth, maintain facilities, prepare for events, and beyond. They also provide ongoing input and innovative ideas to grow and develop the ministry of Encounter. Full-Time volunteers serve on a year by year commitment stepping out to fulfill critical roles in the ministry and helping to bring Encounter into new seasons of greater effectiveness.
Professional Development: Serving with Encounter does not require any specialized education or training, but Staff Members & Full-Time Volunteers take part in on-going professional development from before they ever step foot on the mission field. Full-Time Volunteers work alongside Staff Members on professional development tasks aimed at creating a more effective team of ministry workers. We want everyone at Encounter to continually grow, develop, and mature as missionaries, educators, and disciples of Jesus Christ.
All staff and volunteers of Encounter: Education in Missions including leadership personnel serve without financial compensation or benefits. Staff and volunteers are required to raise their own financial support through a team of ministry partners or other external provisions.
